I am by no means an expert on living. God knows I’ve tried to stop being alive period, multiple times. But I think I’ve figured out a way to do it, finally. This is not to say that I practice my newfound method all the time- but I’m trying. Here is what I’ve learned that makes me want to live:

1.     Helping others gives you the best feeling, besides orgasms.
2.     Having a creative outlet allows you to culminate your imagination.
3.     Do what you love, & love what you do. If you can’t do that at your job, then find a hobby.
4.     Ask yourself not what you can do for yourself, but what you can do for others.
5.     If you’re not getting laid, masturbate. A lot. Like, every day. Orgasms make you feel awesome, & can cure headaches, period cramps & you get to fantasize, which is super-fun.
6.     Be honest with yourself, & be honest with those around you. That way they can make honest decisions, & so can you. We are only as bummed out as our secrets.
7.     Take responsibility for your actions. Be honorable.
8.     Don’t do things that hurt you, or other people. It seems obvious, but we do this shit all the time.
9.     Don’t put your face in naked pictures if you’re going to send them to someone. Then there’s no proof it’s you.
10.   Work out. I know it can stink, but it’s good for your mind AND your body. It’s a pain in the ass to get there, but it WILL make you feel good.
11.   Drink lots of water. It’s good for your brain.
12.   If you love someone, tell them. Unless your feelings are inappropriate. Then keep it to yourself. That’s not lying, it’s just being smart.
13.   Look at your life, and all you have to be grateful for. Then say thank you for those blessings.
14.   Don’t fuck gross creeps. Have some self-respect. Demand the best from the people around you & give them your best.
15.   Treat yourself like you would treat your best friend. Don’t shit-talk yourself, it’s boring & useless.
16.   When you’re pissed at someone, try to see where you went wrong, because it might be you, too. If it is, do what you can to make it better.
17.   If you say you’re going to show up, show up.
18.   Don’t half-ass anything.
19.   If you’re heartbroken, immerse yourself in a good book. Keep reading until you feel less crazy.
20.   Try not to cry on the subway.

These things help me breathe, relax, & try to not be a creep.
